The great weight loss challenge...

I am going to, willingly, attempt to lose weight.

However I am going to need a lot of moral support, as I will want to quit over and over and over again.

However, I do want to do it.

I mean, I think I weight something close to 300lbs if not more. Over the course of the next few months I would like to lose as much of that as possible.

I kind of fear for my health, you know. Weighing so much isn't exactly normal or healthy.

I'll keep you updated on my progress and we'll see what happens.

How do you describe it

So...on a more less serious note

They say it ain't over 'til the fat lady sings, but so frequently do people end it themselves.

So the question is, why?

Why breathe the last breath? Why smile the last smile? Why smell the last smell? Why see the last sight? Why feel the last sensation?

Especially when it is not meant to be.

Sure a touchy subject for many. However one also thought about frequently.

Please don't get me wrong. I would never. I merely ask a few too many questions.

Richard Franklin Lenox Thomas Pryor (December 1, 1940 ? December 10, 2005)

Pryor died of cardiac arrest at the age of 65 in an Encino hospital on the morning of December 10, 2005. He was brought to the hospital after his wife's attempts to resuscitate him failed.

O Fortuna c. 1230

Text:
1.O Fortuna,
velut luna
statu variabilis,
semper crescis
aut descrescis;
vita detestabilis
nunc obdurat
et tunc curat
ludo mentis aciem,
egestatem,
potestatem
dissolvit ut glaciem.

Translation:

O Fortune,
just as the moon
you vary your state
always increasing
or decreasing; 5
the detestable life
now difficult
and then easy
with your games sharpens
poverty,
power 10
dissolves like ice.

2.Sors inmanis
et inanis,
rota tu volubilis,
status malus,
vana salus
semper dissolubilis,
obrumbratam
et velatam
mihi quoque niteris,
nunc per ludum
dorsum nudum
fero tui sceleris.

Often great
and empty,
your revolving wheel, 15
an evil state,
vain health
always dissolving,
concealing
and veiled 20
you also strive for me
now by game,
a lost shirt
I guiltily take because of you.

3.Sors salutis
et virtutis
mihi nunc contraria,
est affectus
et defectus
semper in angaria;
hac in hora
sine mora
cordis pulsum tangite,
quod per sortem
sternit fortem
mecum omnes plangite.

Often my health 25
and my virtue
are now contrary for me,
affected
and defective
always in torment; 30
In this hour
without delay
take the pulse of my heart,
which through fate,
she overthrows my strength: 35
weep all of you with me.

A theological question...

If there should be just one God and that God wants all people on Earth to believe in them. Why doesn't that God make it more obvious in its Existence?

Sure faith is all well and good, but I just don't buy into it.

I mean everyone has their own opinion on the matter, so obviously most everyone has to be wrong.

That would mean only a select few people really know.

What kind of a God would segregate people from each other?

Religion is so, confusing to me.

What about empirical truth? What about cold hard facts?

Why can't their be an easy answer?

I don't have a clue

I'm so very tired. It's almost all the time now.
